What size is the allen wrench?

The allen wrench would be 3/32" or 2.5 MM.
What is the size of the screw for the MCH charging handle? The one supplied with my handle does not even extend completely through the nut. The handle appears to be secured by the engagement of 1 or 2 threads of the screw and nut. I need the size of the screw so I can order one of the proper length.

The screw size for our charging handles are M2.5 x 45.
A I am having the same problem. Did you find a srew that is longer? If so, where did you find it?A Amazon sells several kits of M2.5 screws, nuts, lock washers and flat washers ranging from $8 to $25 depending on the size kit. Screws of several lengths from too short to too long and many that are just right. I used one about 1/4 inch longer than original (sorry, i don't have the kit with me for exact size) and used a lock washer under the head of the screw and a drop of lock-tight in the nut hole before the nut just ot make sure everything stayed tight. Flat washer was too big.A Thanks fonde the kit on Amazon and ordered. Don't understand why company does not provide longer screws.They need to look into this issue.A I bought 1/8 of inch longer screws and woked fine.
